On site at Data Centre Expo in Kista
Data centres are built not just with servers - but with thousands of thoughtful component choices. As demands for energy efficiency, cooling and reliability increase, the physical infrastructure becomes more important.

This week, Tommy and Peter visited the Data Centre Expo in Kista to learn about the latest trends and innovations in data centres and digital infrastructure.
A clear message from the fair is that data centres continue to be a strong growth market. At the same time, demands for energy efficiency, cooling, monitoring and availability are increasing. As power densities rise, it becomes increasingly important to ensure that the technical infrastructure works as a whole. It's not just about servers and IT equipment, but also about how airflow, temperature, pressure, flow, shielding, connectivity and protection work together to create a safe and reliable facility.
Several relevant product areas for data centres
At Swelex, we work with several product areas relevant to data centres and technical infrastructure, including
- Fans and airflow solutions for cooling and ventilation
- Sensors and measurement technologies for monitoring pressure, flow and temperature
- Thermal management solutions for efficient heat management
- EMC, RFI, EMI and noise shielding
- Lightning protection, transient protection and surge protection
- Connectors, cabling and interconnect solutions
In modern data centres, it is rarely enough to optimise individual components. Real reliability is often determined by the interaction between different systems and technical solutions.
Thank you for the fruitful meetings
We would like to thank everyone we met during the fair for interesting conversations and valuable insights. We look forward to continuing the dialogue on how the right component selection can contribute to safer, more efficient and more robust data centre infrastructure.
