Management systems that drive development - the next step for Swelex
Swelex continues its long-term commitment to quality, environment and structured business development. As part of this work, we have chosen Intertek as the new certification body for our management system according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. For Swelex, certification is not a static stamp, but an active tool for developing working methods, processes and capabilities over time. The choice of Intertek reflects our ambition to work more strategically with our management system and ensure that it supports both today's and tomorrow's requirements. “We have a clear direction for how Swelex will develop in the coming years. This means that our management system needs to be scalable, relevant and ready to meet increased demands from both customers and the market,” says Marcus Boman Andersson, Quality and Compliance Manager. Swelex operates in technically demanding environments where quality, traceability and compliance are crucial factors. ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 provide a solid foundation, but are also part of a broader development process in which we are gradually strengthening our organisational maturity. As part of this work, Swelex continuously evaluates how our management system can be further developed to meet future business and industry requirements, including standards that place higher demands on structure, risk management and delivery reliability.
Together against childhood cancer
On 15 February, we mark International Childhood Cancer Day. At Swelex, we want to emphasise that children and cancer do not belong together - together we can contribute to treatments that are meaner to cancer but kinder to children. We light up Sweden in blue and show our support for all affected children and their families.

Swelex strengthens Industry team with new technical sales representative
Swelex welcomes Joakim Grönberg as a new technical sales representative in the Industry team. With a mechanical engineering background and over 30 years in the lighting industry, Joakim strengthens our ability to support machine builders and OEM customers in technology selection, design-in and long-term improvements, from component level to complete system solutions. Joakim's common thread is technology, customer dialogue and translating needs into clear proposals internally. He has worked in roles such as Area Sales Manager, Account Manager, Key Account Manager and Technical Product Manager, with responsibility for both business and technology in close collaboration with customers” development and purchasing organisations. Most recently, Joakim comes from Leading Light where he worked with smart outdoor lighting and IoT-based concepts for control, monitoring and data collection. Previously, he has run OEM sales and design-in related to lighting components and control systems, including with Tridonic, and worked with lighting control and sensors. He has also led technical parts of larger projects, been responsible for documentation and provided technical support to customers and distributors. For Swelex, this means a clear reinforcement in lighting, indication and automation-related applications, while Joakim becomes an important part of our broader offering. As Swelex grows together with the SW Automatik business, we get a stronger whole, where components, sensors and control can be linked to the customer's system requirements in a more complete way. ”We are building the next Swelex with more breadth, more capacity and more technical presence with customers. Swelex welcomes Henrik Öhman as a new technical sales representative in the Industry team. With a background that combines deep technical understanding with consultative sales, Henrik strengthens our ability to support OEM customers and machine builders in technology-intensive business, where the requirements are often about the right choice of components, quality and long-term. Henrik joins us from Redtree Solutions, where he worked as Business Development Manager with electronics and advanced products in the semiconductor area. The role involved driving new business opportunities, developing existing customer relationships and working closely with both the customers” R&D and purchasing functions, as well as decision-makers at management level. It is an environment where technology, business and long-term decisions go hand in hand, which is fully in line with how Swelex wants to work. Previously, Henrik has also held leading sales roles linked to technically demanding IoT modules and antenna solutions, where the dialogue with customers is often both system-oriented and detail-oriented. Electricity Fair 2025
Many thanks to everyone who came by our stand at Elmässan last week! It was two inspiring days filled with good meetings, interesting conversations and many new contacts. During the fair, we also got a really fun addition to the stand - our colleagues from Gävle appeared together with R2-D2, a fully functional robot built by our production engineer Daniel Samuelsson. We are both impressed and proud to have such creative and skilled colleagues in the team! SW Automatik will soon become part of Swelex, and R2-D2 is just a taste of the expertise and innovation that comes with the merger.

Swelex becomes master distributor for Heatit in Sweden!
Swelex AB is proud to announce a strategic partnership with Heatit Controls AB, a leading provider of smart heating solutions. Under this agreement, Swelex will serve as the master distributor for Heatit products in Sweden, bringing innovative and energy-efficient heating technology to a broader audience. This partnership marks an important step in expanding Heatit's presence in the Swedish market and is also one of the first steps in Swelex's journey as a newly combined organisation following the merger with Stig Wahlström Automatik AB, with Heatit being the first partner launched under the new organisation.
Wireless charging from Delta
The MOOVair 1 kW Wireless Charging System from Delta Electronics offers an innovative and completely contactless solution for automatic charging of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs). The system eliminates the need for manual connectors and reduces wear and tear on connections, resulting in increased reliability and reduced maintenance needs. MOOVair is particularly suitable for dusty or humid environments, where traditional charging connectors can cause problems. With up to 93 % efficiency from wall to battery, the solution provides both an efficient and safe charging process. MOOVair is part of our range of solutions from Delta Electronics, which we at Swelex offer to contribute to more sustainable and automated production environments.

A while ago we gathered for an after work in Stockholm - an evening that offered boules with an instructor and ended with a lovely barbecue buffet. The activity was booked already in the spring, before we started our closer cooperation with our colleagues at SW Automatik AB. Therefore, this time it was only the Swelex gang that participated. But now we're really looking forward to the next chapter - after the summer, a joint kick-off awaits, where both Swelex and SW Automatik can get together and strengthen the team spirit even more!

The SW team held the first of several planned product trainings for the Swelex team - a review of the range, solutions and technical expertise. Swelex strengthens team - Joel Klasson new sales representative
On 1 February, we welcomed Joel Klasson to Swelex, where he now takes on the role of Field Sales Representative. Joel, who recently completed his bachelor's degree in business administration, is looking forward to returning to work in a role that involves a lot of contact with customers and suppliers. His previous experience as a salesman in the grocery trade, both in stores and as a supplier, has now been supplemented with a broader education that he will benefit greatly from in his new position.

Stig Wahlström Elektronik AB, part of the technology solutions group Addtech Nordic AB, is taking a strategic step forward by rebranding and officially changing its name to Swelex AB. This change, announced today, is a result of several years of successful mergers where Satco Komponent AB and Jolex AB were integrated into Stig Wahlström Elektronik AB.

We support the Childhood Cancer Foundation
Every day a child in Sweden is diagnosed with cancer. Thanks to research and more effective treatment methods, progress has been made and today 85% survive. But we want all children who get cancer to survive, and to be able to live a good and long life. That's why we at Stig Wahlström Elektronik are supporting the important work of the Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation during Christmas 2023, and we are proud of that.
Non-metallic carbon fibre cable from SINBON
In diagnostic imaging, achieving optimal image quality for a beating heart is challenging. ECG guidance offers an effective solution to reduce artefacts from cardiac motion, improve image quality and evaluate differences in images under varying exercise conditions. By triggering scans during a predefined phase of the cardiac cycle, the method can improve diagnostic performance when evaluating heart disease. However, traditional metal leads can negatively affect image quality. Therefore, non-metallic carbon fibre leads appear to be the optimal choice for our customers.

On 2 October 2023, we welcomed Johan Frisk to Stig Wahlström Elektronik in the role of Application Engineer. Johan comes most recently from his own business, where he has worked with product development and prototypes for the past 12 years, mainly in the automotive industry.
